The Mobility Network Summer School 2024 has wrapped up with great success. Over the two-day event, students engaged in insightful guest lectures and got hands-on experience with real-world case studies.
On the first day, students were introduced to the case study and divided into groups, each focusing on different themes for the project. This year's focus was the Golden Mile redevelopment, where students had the opportunity to visit the site and learn more about its development. Within their groups, students selected specific topics related to their themes to work on collaboratively.
On the second day, the two groups focused on researching and presenting innovative proposals for their chosen topics.
Group 1 chose the topic "Mobility and Place: Proposing a walkable and bikeable Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) in the Golden Mile Area", focusing on introducing new cycling plans and improving public infrastructures to support pedestrians.
Group 2 decided to explore the topic "Just Communities: Livability of the Golden Mile Plan", which focused on addressing and improving various aspects of community livability within the Golden Mile area.
