Catherine Morency presents 'Overview of research programs to support decision making on transportation systems & mobility in Montreal'

This talk will present an overview of research programs under the supervision of Professor Catherine Morency. It will namely present some outcomes of research chairs focusing on the implementation of sustainability in transportation as well as research on the understanding of multimodality and complementarity/competitivity relationships between modes. Prof. Morency will also talk about the development of an open-source platform to simulate public transportation networks.

Dr. Catherine Morency

Catherine Morency is a civil engineer and professor at Polytechnique Montréal, where she is head of the Mobility focusing on the implementation of sustainability in transportation and the interactions (complementarity and competitivity) between transportation modes. She is Canada Research Chair in the Mobility of People. She is also member of the boards of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and Montreal Sustainable Mobility Agency. In 2021, she won the Polytechnique's research and innovation excellence prize.
