Jasmine Eftekhari presents “planning for transit service in a post-COVID world'

This presentation outlines TTC’s service planning process, focusing on the fall 2022 service plan.
It will discuss how service levels are adjusted based on projected and observed customer demand, addressing bus terminal capacity issues through routing and service adjustments, adjusting streetcar service to accommodate construction projects across Toronto, and subway service changes to address completion of the Line 1 Automatic Transit Control (ATC) project.
It will also discuss how challenges such as ridership return uncertainties, construction delays and global supply chain issues have impacted TTC’s planning process and how to identify opportunities for improving transit service amid all these challenges.
About the speaker
Jasmine Eftekhari is a Senior Transit Planner at TTC’s Service Planning Department. She recently led the development of TTC’s 2022 Annual Service Plan and is currently leading the process for monitoring and adjusting existing TTC bus, streetcar, and rapid transit services. She is committed to improving how transit can make cities more equitable and better places to live for everyone. Jasmine holds an MSc from Concordia University and a BA (Hons) from University of Toronto.
